Dr. Khaled Tarboush received his doctorate from Damascus University, School of Dentistry, in 1995. After graduation, he completed 2 year fellowship in Oral&Maxillofacial Surgery. He passed the national dental boards, and then earned the Massachusetts dental license in 2006. He practiced general dentistry in Boston, MA for one year before going back to school to have more education. During his practicing dentistry, he had the chance to work with the undergraduate dental students through the extramural program which belong to Boston University, School of Dentistry, Department of General Dentistry. He worked as a dental instructor. In 2007 he started his specialty program at University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Dentistry, (UMKC). Dr. Tarboush obtained his certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Oral&Maxillofacial Radiology&Implantology C.A.G.S. He is board eligible (The American board of Oral&Maxillofacial Radiology and the American board of Implantology ). He then successfully passed the exams to be licensed in Washington and Texas states. Dr. Tarboush is a faculty member in the department of Oral Pathology, Medicine&Radiology at UMKC School of Dentistry. Dr. Tarboush is now lecturing the dental and dental hygiene students about the Oral Pathology&Radiology. Dr.Traboush is involved in several dental researches which test the efficiency of the dental technologies used in dentistry today. In addition, these researches are done to investigate the effect of some dental materials on patients health. He believes that diagnosis is the most important step to gain successful treatment. When the patient has the right diagnosis, he will have the better treatment. Dentistry is not only working on the oral cavity, it is more into exploring the patient’s medical history and gathering all the information available through the dental exam to look for further diseases and which might be hidden and could lead to life threatening. He realized that the boundary which has traditionally existed between doctor and patient is detrimental to promoting health, and Dr. Tarboush have taken steps to remove barriers to communication - evolving towards a client-based relationship. He believes that any respect given to him is earned, and not best owed from his degree or title. Dr. Tarboush is a practicing dentist who puts all the most up-to-date technology to serve his patients and patient’s satisfactory is the main goal of his practice. He is more involved in Implants dentistry as a new modality which requires accurate treatment plan. He is dedicated to the newest advancements in implant dentistry and keeps up-to-date with the latest technologies. He is frequently among the first dentist to perfect and use the newer, more advanced techniques and equipments. Dr. Tarboush has over 14 years of dental practice. Solo practitioner on all around family practice. Dr. Tarboush has extensive training including Oral Surgery, preventive, restorative, prosthodotic and periodontic. When Dr. Tarboush is not practicing dentistry, he will be enjoying his free time with his lovely wife Einas and his little children, Alen, Amin. and Amjad.
